IPv4 설정¶
IPv4 기반 호스트 이름과 주소에 핑을 수행하려면 ping 명령어를 실행합니다.
ubnt@ubnt:~$ ping
Possible completions:
<hostname> Send ICMP echo request to specified <hostname|IPv4 address>
<x.x.x.x>
핑 옵션:
ubnt@ubnt:~$ ping -help
Usage: ping [-LRUbdfnqrvVaAD] [-c count] [-i interval] [-w deadline]
[-p pattern] [-s packetsize] [-t ttl] [-I interface]
[-M pmtudisc-hint] [-m mark] [-S sndbuf]
[-T tstamp-options] [-Q tos] [hop1 ...] destination
아래 예제에서는 호스트네임에 핑을 수행합니다:

IPv6 설정¶
IPv6 기반 호스트 네임과 주소에 핑을 수행하기 위해서는 ping6 명령어를 수행합니다.
ubnt@ubnt:~$ ping6 ipv6.google.com
PING ipv6.google.com(pb-in-x93.1e100.net) 56 data bytes
